Each year on July 4th while we celebrate our nation’s freedom our beaches and waterways experience a high volume of visitors. The ‘Day After’ results in large amounts of trash and debris generated from the festivities. You can be a Keeper and come out to one of the clean-up sites or adopt a beach location (see list below).
Keep the Right Butts on the Beach. Win the Cigarette Butt Challenge!
Prizes include Keepers Kleen Kanteen cup, Keepers t-shirt, Keepers sticker, Root Natural Soap, 1-month free membership to Anastasia Fitness, and other fun stuff from Beach Go Green!
- You or your organization picks a location to adopt (see below). Adoption locations are first come first serve.
- We provide the supplies to the adoptee including gloves, reusable bags, hand sanitizer, table, tent, way-finding signs, and directions for the day of the event.
- The adopting organization posts on their social media and invites friends through other media outlets.
- If you are not part of an adopting organization you just show up and help other dedicated volunteers clean the beach!
